About

Living in a beautiful place inspires beautiful things. Nature has always been the inspiration for my art.

And I’ve been beading for a long time.

My first bead obsession was with French beaded flowers. French beaded flowers are made by stringing small beads onto wire and forming the wire into petal and leaf shapes. You can see an example of this technique in my piece “Bees Need Sunflowers”.

My beaded flowers have been published in two books - The Art of French Beaded Flowers by Carol Benner Doelp and 500 Beaded Objects, compiled by Carol Wilcox Wells and published by Lark Books.

These days, I’ve been doing more bead embroidery than flowers, but the inspiration is always from nature.

I hope you enjoy the work.
